About Us
The Kinnie Herd was established in 2020 by Nicole Kinloch, a third-generation farmer at Walton Farm on Scotland's west coast. Following in the footsteps of her Papa Jim, Granny Annie and her dad Jim, Nicole grew up immersed in farm life – from squeezing between Ayrshire cows in the old byre to learning the art of sustainable mixed farming. What began with a single Brown Swiss heifer from a herd in Dumfries has grown into a thriving enterprise focused on pedigree genetics and quality breeding. Today, the Kinnie Herd includes Brown Swiss, Holsteins and Aberdeen Angus cattle, working alongside the established Walton Lea family herd. Together, we're committed to producing exceptional livestock, supporting our local community, and carrying forward a proud farming legacy built on passion, hard work, and a deep love for the land.
